Chevy Chase is a famous American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer for his appearances on Saturday Night Live and his starring roles in the films Caddyshack, National Lampoon's Vacation, and Fletch (1980).
Chevy Chase was born in Lower Manhattan New York City (Cornelius Chase, 1943). Chase was named for his adoptive grandfather Cornelius and nick name 'Chevy' was bestowed by his grandmother, derived from the medieval English ballad "The Ballad of Chevy Chase".
